Bistro Lemongrass in Deggendorf

My absolute favorite place - Curry Ente is awesome - I have recommended this place many times and everyone was enthusiastic. Well worth a visit - if I could I would give it 6 stars!

Make sure to try the vegan "duck"!

At around 1:30 p.m. we asked if there was also the option of just buying drinks. Or whether we could take a look at the menu first. Although the restaurant was empty except for 2 tables, we were not wanted.

We went because of a lot of very positive opinions, but it didn't work for us. We were expecting much better food.

The quality and prices of the dishes are higher than those of the competition. Sometimes you wait a little longer here, so you should bring your time. Nothing for lunch break.

Dear Lemongrass Team: you can eat more than good food. It's all right: the quality of the food was perfect, the atmosphere was great and the interior design very appealing. Fresh ingredients, delicious homemade lemonades and cocktails;) If you want to eat something original (Asian), should definitely lemongrass!

Just to put my opinion in perspective, I love Japanese, southeast Asian and Indian food. I have tried Thai, Vietnamese, Indian (traveled in India for more than 2 weeks) in many different locations and have been invited by Japanese colleagues to authentic Japanese restaurants in Düsseldorf (those run by Japanese chefs, not Japanese restaurants that might be run by Germans, Koreans or Chinese). Lemongrass is run by Asians but the dishes we have tried do not resemble the originals. They are edible and to those who have never tasted the authentic dishes and flavors, they will be just fine. This explains also the relatively high ratings. But if you have eaten authentic dishes then you will be DISAPPOINTED! The ramen soup I ate might be considered a crossover however it didn't include ramen noodles! Yes, it was filled with veggies and nori but far from the delicious ramen I am accustomed at Japanese restaurants. The other dishes we ordered, including chicken curry and chicken satay skewers (the latter I forgot to take a photo of), were edible but we were far from thrilled. For one, the peanut sauce accompanying the satay was not tasty and did not come close to the sauces I am accustomed to eating with satay. So overall, edible but not authentic and lacking the necessary flavors. The best was a fruity drink.

Uncanny friendly staff with a very interesting menu. If you are looking for 0815 Asiafood, you will not find it here. Because the dishes are anything but 0815th The food is prepared and prepared with an incredible love. Not only a culinary delight but also very nice to look at. You can tell that the chef lives the kitchen :) The variety of homemade lemonades is great. Definitely worth a recommendation. Always my pleasure. The prices are surprisingly cheap for this outstanding quality. Conclusion: Asian meets upscale cuisine - a dream <3
